Wild African Olivewood is brown to rich greenish brown in color, streaked with dark brown lines. Sapwood is creamy yellow or gold color and is often interlaced with dark stripes. Very nice contrast. The figure ranges from straight to wavy. It is hard and heavy, very fine texture. Wild African Olivewood will tend to have much more figuring than its Italian counterpart.
